Two-color STED Microscope (room L18-11216, RC1-South)
  • Super-resolution microscope using STimulated Emission Depletion (STED) that can allow resolution down to ~40-50 nm.
  • Two-color channel super-resolution imaging using Atto 590 (STAR 580) and Atto 647N (STAR 635 or STAR 635P) fluorophores (two-color STED Sample Preparation).
  • Built around an Olympus IX-71 microscope with bright field, DIC and epi-fluorescence imaging of the same field of view as STED imaging.
  • Must have Stephanie Meyer present to do imaging.

 

Two-color STED Microscope (room P15-7244, RC2)
  • Spectral unmixing confocal and two-photon imaging
  • 34-Channel GaAsP QUASAR Detection Unit and non-descanned detectors for two-photon fluorescence and second harmonic generation
